What happens on fitting day
We fit the trackers. You do not need tools or training. Here is how the day runs, so nothing holds it up.
Before we arrive
- Units in the yard. We fit the ones that are home. Units out on hire are done as they come back.
- Units clean. For portable toilets, washed and pumped out.
- A contact on site who can tell us which units are which.
How each tracker is fixed
We agree the fixing method with you first, in writing. The tracker goes high and out of the way, where it will not be knocked or hosed directly. Each asset gets a small sticker saying it is fitted with a GPS tracking device.
What we record
For every unit: your fleet number, the tracker's number, and three photos. That record is how we find and fix a tracker later without guessing.
When they show on your map
Each tracker is checked on the map before we leave the unit. By the time we drive out, your fleet is on your screen.
Good to knowA battery tracker then settles into reporting about once a day. That is what makes its battery last for years.
