Example Fleet Tracking
Day to day

Match the map to your books

The tracker knows where each unit is. Your hire system knows where each unit should be. Put the two side by side and the mistakes stand out: off hire but still on site, on hire but back in the yard.

  1. Export what is on hire

From your hire system, export a spreadsheet of hires. One row per unit. We need these columns, in any order and under any heading:

    • Your fleet number for the unit
    • The date it went on hire
    • The date it came off hire, if it has

Helpful if you have them: who hired it, and the site address.

  2. Send it to us

Email the file to help@example.com. We load it the same working day and tell you when it is in.

Good to knowThe fleet numbers in your file need to match the names on your trackers. If they differ, tell us and we line them up once.
  3. Look at tomorrow's list

The next morning list compares the two. Send a fresh export whenever you like; weekly suits most yards. Each new file replaces the last one.
